Facts not emotions are behind Prop 8. If gay and lesbian activists are willing to fight so hard for a word (they already have all the rights), they will not stop. The proponents of tolerance will not tolerate our churches, our schools, or even our speech. Freedom not hate is what is at stake.
I already post this blog under a fake name so those who say they love and accept all won't egg my house or worse. Prop 8 is to protect the shrinking majority from government abuse (in the form of lawsuits) from those who don't "hate" (they just loath anyone who doesn't fully embrace all things homosexual.)

The opposition’s claims that their self interests are not being met are just selfish. They have no right to impose their moral views on our children. ESPECIALLY without our consent. It’s more than just “love” at stake here. I think it’s important to recognize the human rights of the children involved. France rejected same sex marriage because it trampled the rights that children have to a mother and a father. Their pursuit of self interest at all costs is selfish. Making our children be exposed to same sex marriage ideas corrupts their impressionable minds.
MONTREAL, March 20, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In late January, a 30 member parliamentary commission of the French National Assembly published a 453 page Report on the Family and the rights of Children, which rejected same-sex marriage.
DeSerres, told LifeSiteNews.com “Referring to the rights of children as a human rights issue, the report argued that children ‘now have rights and to systematically give preference to adult aspirations over respect for these rights is not possible any more.’”
In the report, the commission says that “the child represents the future of society.” The commission asks legislators to make sure that “children, confronted with mutations in family models, be fully taken into account and not suffer from situations imposed upon them by adults.” It adds: “The interest of the child must take precedence over adults’ exercise of their freedom (…) including with regards to parents’ lifestyle choices.”
Isn't it sad that you have to be afraid of the same people who are fighting for "tolerance" of their lifestyle? I've gotten some nasty blog comments myself, and been called all sorts of names just for simply stating my opinion. Our rights to free speech and freedom of religion are already being suppressed in favor of gay activists; how much worse will it get if Proposition 8 fails?
Good post, Keep blogging. We are sprinting towards Nov 4. Vote yes on Prop 8!
The Skinny on Schools and Prop 8.
1 - Public schools in California are not required to teach anything about marriage.
2 - 96 percent of California public schools teach a Health and Sex Ed Curriculum, which is my understanding is required under law (but I cannot find that online yet from the State, I am still looking).
3 - If a public school teaches Health and Sex Ed, they are required to teach the following :
“Instruction shall be appropriate for students of all genders, sexual orientations, and ethnic and cultural backgrounds…Instruction shall encourage communication between students and their families and shall teach respect for marriage and committed relationships.
4 - This means that schools that teach Heath and Sex Ed will now be required to teach that Gay Marriage is the same as Marriage between a Man and a Woman.

I think that before making a decision about Prop. 8, we should consider how this will impact our friends, neighbors and maybe even our children - not while they're in school, but when they're adults. Gavin Newsom outlines it pretty well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wW2BGqnEXag

Yet another scared post by a Christian/Mormon fearing their "rights" will be taken away. YOU are the one wanting to take away rights.
You say we have all the rights but you dont want to give us the word. Well then that would be seperate but equal wouldnt it? Only seperate is never equal. It makes us second class citizens who arent good enough to get married.
My getting married does not take away ANY of your rights. You can raise your child how you'd like. Your churches can teach whatever they'd like. We have this thing called the 1st amendment.
So please, stop using scare tactics and playing the victim. YOU are the majority and I am the minority. You are the one trying to stop me from doing something everyone else is legally allowed to do.
This is a message for anyone who would use the Bible and/or their Christian faith to claim that homosexuals deserve anything less than completely equal treatment under the eyes of the law, including the right to marry the person of their choice.
It took almost 2000 years for extremist Christians to fully acknowledge the evils of slavery (which is clearly condoned in the Bible). Their mainstream brethren finally helped them understand.
It took even longer for extremist Christians to accept the right to vote for women and non-whites. Their mainstream brethren dragged them along.
It took even longer for extremist Christians to acknowledge that segregation was wrong. Their mainstream brethren showed them the way.
It took even longer for extremist Christians to tolerate the right to inter-racial marriage. Their mainstream brethren set the example.
In 2008, many church goers, clergy members, and religious scholars from around the Christian world respect gays and lesbians as equals, deserving of equal rights in the eyes of the law and, more importantly, completely deserving of God’s love - unconditionally.
Modern science is in complete agreement that sexual orientation has fundamental genetic, biologic, and developmental origins which establish sexual orientation by birth.
God doesn’t make mistakes, and God doesn’t want you to treat others as if they were mistakes.

We know that the schools are in the tank for the opposition, but this is just over the top:
This morning several individuals from the local Conejo Valley School Administration in Thousand Oaks, CA, destroyed the giant proposition 8 sign that was placed on the public easement adjacent to the school property. The easement, originally owned by the school administration was given to Edison power company because of the power lines in the area. Edison gave local residents permission to use the easement for their personal use.
Residents erected the sign yesterday but it lasted less than 24 hours before school officials destroyed it. There was a disagreement about whose property the sign was on, but rather than discuss the matter in a reasonable way, angry school officials marched out to the location saying they were going to “nuke” the sign. Residents were on hand and offered to remove the sign but the administration officials refused to allow the sign to be removed peaceably and destroyed it instead.
Several of the local residents called police who recovered property from the sign that administrators stole during the incident.
I find it wonderful that other faiths have stood with the LDS church and not let them take the flak alone.
Los Angeles interfaith leaders voiced their support for the LDS church this afternoon, saying: “The peaceful faiths, families, educators, activists, and community servants who make up the protect Marriage Coalition are saddened to hear of the continued targeted attacks on the Mormon people during and after the conclusion of this fair and certified election. Like many churches, the family is the anchor of the LDS faith and it is no surprise that its members in California joined other faiths in giving everything they had to Proposition 8.“
It’s one of the more amazing things of this election, that so many faiths were able to build bridges and find common ground to stand on.

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
